    Congratulations Grads!

    This year is so different for everyone, it’s tested our patience and resilience. For all those who graduated this year, we wish you all the best in your next chapter, you should feel so proud of your accomplishments!

    We know it’s hard to go without prom that you’ve looked forward to for many years, and to not walk across the stage with your friends is a huge difference from normality; however we want to celebrate you!

    We’re offering Mini-Graduate sessions for $80, for anyone who graduated middle school, high school, college, University etc. that will include a 20min session and 10 professionally edited images, and a sneak peek on Facebook!

    Sessions will take place in an outdoor location where social distancing will be maintained.  We have several locations pre-chosen for Guelph, Fergus, Elora, Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge!   Feel free to wear your prom dress, a mask for a couple, whatever you wish to celebrate your milestone!

    If you book by September 2020 you’ll be entered into a draw to win a free mini-session!

    Easter Mini-Sessions – Postponed until further notice 🐰🥕

    Thank you so much for all of your inquiries and interest in our Easter mini sessions and sessions in general. I thought I’d just send out a wee post here to address any further questions/concerns.

    In response to the latest information provided from the Government regarding the Coronavirus, we had made the hard decision to close the studio mid-last week. Now with the announcement today of all non-essential businesses to close, we are postponing all sessions for at least the next couple of weeks and as information unfolds we will gain a better understanding of when we’ll reopen and will keep in touch. The safety and well being of our clients is always top priority for us especially when I work closely with pregnant women, precious little newborns and small children.💕

    If we have already completed your session and you are awaiting your gallery of images, please know that these are still being worked on and will be sent out shortly. I continue to work on editing from the comfort of my home.

    If you have an upcoming session, you’ll receive an email in the next couple of days to discuss options for postponement.

    I hope you all stay healthy, safe and at peace during this hectic time. Take this time to take walks, learn a new skill or language, do something that you have always put off because you never had enough time. COVID-19 will definitely test our patience and resilience!

    We are pleased to announce our upcoming Christmas Mini- Sessions!!

    We have put together a few options for you this year!!  Christmas is my favourite time of year!  I love the decorations, sleigh rides, gatherings with family and friends and warm hot chocolate by the fire :).

    Our clients love our mini sessions to update little ones images :). This year we’ve put together a few different sets and an outdoor family option!

    The Outdoor sessions will be running on Sat. Nov. 16th!
    The Indoor In-studio sessions will be running on Sun. Nov. 17th and Sat./Sun.  23rd/24th !

    We are pleased to announce our upcoming Fall Mini- Sessions!!

    We have put together 3 options for you this year!!  Fall is such a wonderful time of year full of pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters and beautiful fall colours.  Our clients love our mini sessions to update little ones images 🙂

    our three options are as follows:

  • Best Places in Guelph for your Photo Session

    Best Places in and around Guelph for your Photo Session

    You want the best setting for your upcoming photo session and you’re wondering where to go?  Look no further!  We’re going to be doing a series of blog post showing some of our favourite locations.
    Pictures will be added over time below.

    University of Guelph Arboretum – College Ave. and Victoria Rd.

    This is a lovely spot in Guelph that provides beautiful natural backdrops for your images.  There’s a gazebo, fields, old fences, a fountain, pathways, pergolas, Japanese garden and many more beautiful spots.

    The covered Bridge by the Teahouse on Gordon Street (by the river)

    This is a unique location with the covered bridge, built in 1992, inspired by the bridges of 1800’s.

    Riverside Park

    river, natural setting, flowers, a pretty location, can be quite busy, but can find quite spots for the session.

    Goldie Mill

    –  Goldie Mill – old mill ruins downtown Guelph

    Royal Jaycee’s Park – York Road

    This location is a beautiful spot next to Royal City Jaycees Park on York road that has some walking trails, ponds and a little bridge, for this location you just park on York road where City Drive Road South meets it and take the little trail in from there, it’s quite pretty.

    Marden Park

    On the North end of Guelph, has a lake/pond setting, with walking trails and natural backgrounds.

    Guelph Lake Conservation Area

    Beautiful lake and beaches.  Extra fee for entrance payable at gate

    Rockwood Conservation Area

    One of my favourite spots, it has mill ruins, pathways, bridges, water and forest and beautiful natural areas.  You can come for your session then make a day of exploring this beautiful location.  There is a beach and kayak/canoe rentals in the summer months.  Please note: if you choose this location, you will have the extra Park Entrance fee payable at the park entrance.

    Location Scouting – St. Jacobs, ON

    This is the first in a series of posts where I will share some of my favourite locations for your photo sessions!  If you’re willing to make the drive to St. Jacobs, it provides a lovely location as a backdrop for your maternity, engagement or family photo session.  Below are three of my favourite spots.

    Mill Race Trail Head

    Front Street location

    This location is very close to the parking lot, you just head West down Front Street from King Street.  Parking is on the right hand side before the road bends and becomes Isabella st.  The trail head here starts with a rustic picturesque bridge and walking trails along the river.  It’s a very natural setting where we can use trees, the bridge, and have water in the background.

    Woolwich Trails

    East side of St. Jacobs

    This is a lovely spot that’s a bit more open, with a large field, closer access to the river to use as a backdrop and a winding trail.  Parking is available in the large lot at the end of Albert St. East.  You just head East on Albert street from King Street and follow the sign’s for Bus/RV parking.

    Three Bridges Dam

    West side of town

    This is a beautiful spot for images as well that has lots of lush greenery and a small water fall from the dam.  It’s located a few minutes drive West from the village; we find it easy to head West down Henry St. from King Street, Turn right at the stop sign onto Three Bridges Road and just follow that along around a bend.  There will be parking on the right hand side just before you get to the bridge.

    Any of these locations provide a nice backdrop for natural images, and then if you have time, spend a bit of time wandering through the village or grabbing a bit to eat.  The bakery is amazing and full of yummy breads, treats and pies.  There are so many quant little shops and a toy store with everything you can imagine it truly is a special place to visit.

    The new year always brings with it a clean slate, fresh ideas, a sense of hope and wonder.

    I just wanted to thank all of our clients for making 2017 so memorable and an amazing year!  It was filled with so many new little ones, families and expecting Mama’s, it was such a pleasure to meet everyone of you and see some of you multiple times 🙂

    I can’t thank you enough for supporting this small business and all of our endeavors.

    For 2018, there are several resolutions we’re hoping to make.  We’re excited to be opening a new studio in the spring in Fergus, Ontario!  Providing new products so that you can hang our fine art images in your home! And continually training to provide faster turn-around times!  We’re looking forward to 2018 with excitement and anticipation.

    We wish you all a year ahead filled with joy, love and laughter.

    Maternity Photo Session | What to wear?

    Once again, I’m behind on my blogging, but I’m hoping to catch up on everything soon here!

    I’ve had a lot of questions coming in regarding what to wear for your Maternity Photo Session, so thought I would dedicate this post to that topic.

    Generally I always say “complimentary comfort”.  This essentially means to wear what you’re comfortable in and be complimentary with any other family members joining in the session.  During this special time of your life, we want to show off your Mama Bump, so typically recommend form-fitting outfits.  In the fall, a pair of jeans with a snug sweater and boots is super cute, in the summer a sweet little summer dress is always flattering.  Think about accessories such as scarfs, hats etc. and don’t forget about shoes, sandals or boots.

    We are pleased to provide  you with the option of wearing one of our gowns for your session!  You can choose any from the images below.  Many of the dresses we provide are designed and created by Amy Corneau Couture, based out of London, ON.  We love her work and craftsmanship!

    We have a Pinterest board created to give you different ideas, we find it’s full of inspiration.  And as always, feel free to message me and discuss anything at any time 🙂
